French Man's Warm Potato Salad
Uncomplicated but Delicious
I have never liked cold potato salad until I was introduced to this recipe my a French friend of mine. I switched out regular onions for shallots, as I find shallots have that next level of flavor. What is especially appealing is how there are so many variations and ways to personalize to your liking. You won't be disappointed.

Quinoa Salad
Fabulously Healthy with So Many Variations
Until recently I hadn't really worked much with quinoa. My daughter, Kellie, with her ever changing love this, hate that now, is on a quinoa quest so now I am too. Being such a customizable meal, it is so easy to change up the flavors.
There are types of quinoa, and for salads I prefer white. Tri-color adds great color, black and red are crunchier. Download the recipe sheet for for a variety of recipe options.

Tea Smoked Salmon Salad
Incredible Flavor Combinations
Ok, so it's been a while since I've made this dish and as a result don't have an accurate picture of the dish. Also be aware for best results, the salmon should marinate for 2-3 hours.
That said, tea smoked salmon can be used for a variety of dishes. I rated this recipe as intermediate given the number of steps, but it truly is very easy to do. It will also expand your culinary knowledge on a new sauce and method of cooking salmon.

Cheddar Bacon Poblano Salad with Smokey Dressing
Worth Adding to Your Salad Repetoire
The more I study the European diet and read about their standards, and how that compares to the US, I am consciously shifting away from any packaged foods. That includes making my salad dressings from scratch.
This Southwest style salad is a recent add, of which I forget to take a picture of before eating. I'll update the image in the near future, as well as add an image of the Smokey Poblano Ranch Dressing. The dish pairs well with Chili Con Carne and my Green Chili Cornbread Casserole, under my Vegetables & Sides tab.
Rainbow Chopped Salad with Ginger Citrus Dressing
Great Crunch with a Bright Flavorsome Dressing
I didn't think a salad could genuinely surprise me, but this one did. A great combination of vegetables, and the dressing was incredibly simple to make and will have you making dressing from scratch in future. I served this with smoked pulled pork, given to us from a friend. I love that we trade food so regularly and results in a fantastic dish!
